Christmas is going to look a bit different for people this year from how they celebrate to how they shop. My shopping has certainly looked different as I was finished shopping by December 1 and all my purchases were completed online. I have even wrapped everything, however, if you ask Katie, she is not a big fan of my wrapping paper of choice, past copies of the Wall Street Journal.
With all my shopping occurring online, I have been bombarded with emails this week telling me I must order by last Tuesday for my items to arrive by Christmas as shippers are starting to call this holiday season ‘Shipageddon’. Hopefully your shopping is going smoothly, and you only have a few last minute gifts to pick up.
As I wrote last week, 2021 is on the horizon and we are looking towards what we all hope is a much different year than 2020. Below is a link to LPL Financial’s Research Outlook 2021: Powering Forward.
Outlook 2021: Powering Forward
LPL Research Outlook 2021: Powering Forward is designed to help you navigate a year in which economic conditions may continue to improve dramatically. Like the markets, Outlook 2021 looks ahead. 2021 will bring advances (ie. vaccines) to further limit and reduce the impact of COVID-19, and the goal remains to keep the economy as open as possible until then. Continued progress in the response to COVID-19, including further stimulus, will be key to sustaining the recovery. As the pandemic subsides, restrictions are lifted, and consumers’ daily lives return to something close to normal, the pace of the recovery should pick up speed—probably in the middle of 2021. LPL Research’s Outlook 2021 covers post-election policy, the economy, stocks, and bonds. Prepare to power forward in 2021 with the economic insights and market guidance in LPL Research Outlook 2021: Powering Forward.
